All the items in the Supermarket on Mars are 10 pence each. Look at the list of items you bought from the Supermarket on Mars. How much money did you spend? Use the count by tens song to help you chant in tens. Can you buy different things? You could make your own shop at home and set your own prices – use counters/buttons/pennies/stones/sticks/leaves to help you work out how much mum and dad need to pay?

Play the Yes/no game First player chooses an object and the other player has to work out what it is by asking questions about what material the object is made of / Is it hard , soft rough, smooth etc. The answer can only be YES or NO ! |

Draw some circles on paper and put some paint into shallow trays. Choose a number between 1 and 20 . Dip your finger into the paint and add that many fingerprint aliens on to your planet !. Count the aliens and write that number on to your planet. |
Continued from today’s Maths activity …You can add arms , legs and eyes to your aliens once the paint has dried using a dark felt pen….. have fun ! |
