Clerical Administrator

Permanent, Term-Time only 38 weeks.

20 hours per week 8.30am – 12.30pm noon – Monday – Friday.

Scale Band D SCP 4-5 £24,404 -£24,790 – (Actual Salary - £10,959-£11,132)

 

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to contribute to the efficient management of admin routine systems and procedures in our busy school office. Bridgetown is a two-form entry school with a strong supportive ethos. 

The successful candidate will need to be friendly, approachable and able to communicate confidentially and sensitively with adults and children. Excellent ICT, language and numerical skills are required. Experience of working in a busy office environment is an advantage.

Candidates will need to be organised be able to prioritise and plan their own workload, have a sense of humour and be a strong team player. Further details of the role can be found in the job description.

Key tasks

  • Receives visitors and deliveries/goods, dealing with associated administration (security badges, signing delivery notes)
  • Deal with routine enquiries, providing general information about the school and its activities – in person, by phone and email.
  • Prepare registers and absence forms, ensuring relevant information is disseminated promptly re: absences and lunches

Cleaner

 

About the Role

Bridgetown Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and friendly Cleaner to join our happy and thriving primary school.  The successful candidate will be assigned their own section that they are responsible for and may be asked to cover other areas as required.

The role is for 15 hours per week (3 hours a day), Monday to Friday. Ideally the hours would be 3.15pm to 6.15pm, however, we are happy to discuss and agree hours with the successful candidate.  Term time only plus 2 weeks split over the school holidays for deep cleaning (40 weeks).

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, organised and thorough, who understands the importance of keeping a school clean.  The successful candidate will take a pride in their work and work well as part of a team and on their own initiative.  Experience of cleaning is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
