The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
What a fabulous day we enjoyed on Thursday 26th May 2022 to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in our school community.
We began with a special Jubilee assembly, lovely to see everyone in the royal red, white and blue colours. At lunchtime we enjoyed a whole school picnic lunch on the school field, begun by singing 'God save the Queen'.
After school, the celebrations really began with our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 choirs giving performances, accompanied by Orchestra of the Swan.
Next all our KS2 year groups put on performances from the RSC workshops they had taken part in during the course of the week.
Our Reception and KS1 children didn't miss out though - their Escape Arts workshops had enabled them to create eye-catching pieces displayed in one of our marquees.
Finally, our local theatre group 'In2Theatre' put on a performance, followed by our staff choir.
Our amazing FOBS team organised and arranged refreshments in the form of ice creams, drinks and snacks.
What a memorable occasion for all our school community, despite some rather windy weather!
