Hello and welcome to Bridgetown Primary School!

We are the very active PTA group called FOBS - The Friends of Bridgetown School. Our committee looks for opportunities to raise money to enhance the school through a number of different ways. Primarily we organize events for the children, families and wider community to participate in online or here at Bridgetown Primary School such as discos, bingo, pantomimes and fairs.  Additionally, we partner with local businesses, subscribe to online benefit schemes (see below) and write proposal for grants and trusts that align with our school needs and principles.

All money raised goes towards enhancing the school and supporting with those extra projects that will impact all children and really help Bridgetown Primary School stand out. Over the last 3 years the FOBS team have used all their energy to raise over £90,000 to replace all of the condemned playground equipment and still managed to support other initiatives such as the reading scheme, installing a defibrillator for the community and contributing to a set of class iPads.

FOBS is a collection of parents and teacher volunteers who meet once a month to discuss new ideas, plan events and build a positive school community. We are always looking for new ideas and have many different volunteer options depending on how much time you have to give or skills you can share with the committee - there is literally a role for everyone!  If you would like to get involved, join us at our first meeting on Tuesday September 14th - location TBC!
