Welcome to the Spring term!
This term we're delving back in time to Britain during World War II to discover what life was like on the Homefront. The topic tracker below shows the key areas of learning and the knowledge organiser provides essential facts to help you at home. This half-term's KIRF is also here for you!
Autumn 2
We're looking forward to starting our topic of Mighty Mountains this half term, with lots of fun activities to help us with our learning across the curriculum. Please see below our knowledge organiser to help you see what we will be covering. If you have experiences of climbing mountains, do let us know as we'd love to hear about them!
Assembly
On Thursday 13th October, we will be performing our assembly about The Romans. Please use these tracks to practice the song and also remember to learn your lines!
Roman Day 2022
WOW, what an incredible day we have had being transported back to 60 AD (or 60 CE as it's now known!). We have been Roman legionaries discovering the story of Boudicca's Celtic Rebellion as well as getting hands on with creating wax tablets, mosaics, clay pots, copper necklaces and brooches, and even making a Roman body lotion! We have also performed plays and dances at a Roman feast, during which we toasted the Roman gods, as well as practicing Roman Army marching and manoeuvres! It's been a busy day packed with memorable hands-on learning experiences, which we'll remember for a long time!
Roman Britain Day is nearly here - next Tuesday 27th September!
We are very much looking forward to our Roman Britain Day next Tuesday and getting dressed up for the occasion! You can chose to be a Roman or a Celt. The pictures show how a simple costume can be made without much cost.
