Our Year 6 Librarians

This year, Lily, Mollie, Maya, Maia, Evelyn, William, Evie, Rosie and Beatrice are our librarians! They are always friendly and ready to help you if you have any questions about books.

They are excited to have started KS2 Book Club, which is open to our KS2 childrne, every Friday lunchtime. Our current book is Ratburger by David Walliams.

Library 2018-19

Bridgetown Primary School is fortunate to have a dedicated space as their school library. The library holds a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books and is run by Year 6 Pupil Librarians, with the support of Miss Knight in school. Library club is run on Monday and Wednesday lunchtimes.

During Monday and Wednesday lunchtimes, children can:

  • enjoy choosing and looking through books
  • share books with friends
  • have a go at reading competitions
  • check out books to take home using out Junior Librarian database

Classes also visit the library during the week to foster a love of reading and using a library. We are very lucky to be supported by excellent parent volunteers who ensure that our children can continue to use the library whilst developing their library skills.

We look forward to recruiting and training our new Pupil Librarians in the Autumn Term!
